FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

How good are the rides?

Our rides are provided by Amusements of America (AoA), one of the largest ride companies in the world! AoA also provides rides for the NJ State Fair at the Meadowlands. The final ride list is available the week of the fair, so feel free to fill out the Contact Us form at the bottom of this page if you want the full listing of rides!

What is the price of the advanced ride tickets?

We have 2 different options for pre-sale discounts. Be sure to check out the tickets page for more info and to save BIG!

How many tickets do I need for each ride?

This year, physical tickets are being replaced with a ride card (similar to the card you have at the arcade) and ride credits can be loaded onto the card.

Carnival rides require 40 credits for the kiddie rides and 64 credits for the heavy-duty rides (of course, plenty of rides in the mid-range as well). We will update the ride listing the week of the fair (while we contract for specific rides, all ride vendors have a clause in their contract to be able to substitute a ride due to mechanical failure, inspections issues, travel issues, etc.)

How many discounted pre-sale ride tickets can I buy?

There is no limit on how many discounted tickets you can buy, but they are only available for a limited time!

Once I buy the discounted tickets online, where do I pick them up? Are they shipped to me?

Discounted ticket sheets are will-call only. Simply show up to the fair any day the fair is open and bring your confirmation email to the ticketing kiosk and scan the code in your confirmation email to receive your ride card.

How tall do my children have to be to get on the rides?

In accordance with New Jersey State law, which governs all of the height requirements for rides, children have to be at least 30″ tall to ride most of the rides. However, we also have Pony Rides, Monster Truck Rides, Face Painting, Live Music, Free Attractions and much more for all to enjoy.

Please check out the full ride listing to see which rides your child can go on based on their height https://tricountyfair.org/rides/

Is there a cost for admission to the fair?

No. We believe admission charges are the worst, so we don’t charge admission!

Is there a charge for parking?

Parking is only $5 per vehicle.

We will have several easy ways to pay with your credit/debit card and smartphone, but the fastest way is with exact change.

We have plenty of parking spaces located right on our fair-grounds.

Is there a charge for viewing the fireworks?

No. The fireworks show is free and for this year we have improved our fireworks show to be even better than last year!

Where can I get some of that amazing balloon art?

Located at the vendor tent is a booth for our main sponsor, Christ Church. If you visit their booth your child can get a ridiculously awesome balloon art, absolutely FREE, while supplies last! Hurry on over to the Christ Church tent!

Also at the Christ Church tent you can enter to win Six Flags Season Passes, learn about upcoming amazing events at Christ Church, get a guided tour of the Christ Church sanctuary and children’s wing, and so much more!

What if I want to bring my dog with me to the fair?

We love dogs! Please clean up after your dog and keep it leashed, of course. Also, make sure to check out our booth for SR3NJ, a local search and rescue dog organization at the fair!

Do I need cash or credit/debit cards the day of the fair?

Almost all parts of the fair accept cash/credit. For those few areas that don’t accept credit cards, there is an ATM on-site. Areas that are cash-only are Pony Rides, Face Painting, carnival games, and some of the local vendors inside the vendor tent.

What if I have more questions?

Fill out the contact us form at the bottom of the page or you can call Christ Church at 973-783-1010 to speak with a live person 🙂
